About fabrics

First of all our roller blinds are distinguished by a unique fabrics collection. Fabrics produced by JM Technical Textiles (Germany) – the leading manufacturer of sunshading fabrics constitute 99% of our range.

There is a wide choice of various fabrics with different light reflective and heat resistance properties, weaving, design, composition, impregnation and production technology features. Öko-Tex quality certificate guarantees that the fabrics do not emit harmful substances when subject to heat of the sun.

We supply following types of fabrics:
  • interior and design fabrics (including those with fashionable metallic print)
  • commercial functional fabrics (black outs, light reflective and heat resistant, flame retardant, mildew-proof)

JM Technical Textiles fabrics do not shrink, maintain their shape, do not fade, protect the curtain and the room against fading and overheating.

The fabrics catalogue can be viewed here.

Maintenance

Service instructions for roller blinds:

  1. The chain mechanism should be operated smoothly. The window leaf where the roller blind is fixed should be opened/closed without jerks.
  2. When the roller blind is lowered/raised the chain should be held in vertical position.
  3. Avoid the mechanisms, brackets and fabrics being hit.
  4. Avoid the fabrics being bent, rubbed or constantly getting wet (except for Aqua fabrics).
  5. During repair works and window cleaning the blind should be rolled to its upper position to prevent the fabric from damage and dirt.

Cleaning instructions:

Roller blinds, like wallpapers, do not need special maintenance, but they should be treated with care. If some stains or dirt have appeared on the fabrics, use one of the following cleaning procedures:
  • Vacuum-cleaning with a soft brush nozzle
  • Cleaning with an eraser
  • Removing the stain with a damp sponge and foaming non-aggressive detergent (chloride-free). Remove the remains of the foam with a clean damp sponge, leave the blind unrolled to dry up. The Black Out fabrics should not be subject to water cleaning
If after a considerable operation period the fabrics have become very dirty they should be replaced.
